Why I'm Running
Santa Clarita has become much more than simply the place where my family lives. It has become home. My family chose to put down roots here over five years ago, my grandchildren attend school here, and over time I have come to care deeply about the future of this community and the quality of life we are building for the next generation.
I want Santa Clarita to remain a place where families feel safe, where neighborhoods are cared for, where growth is managed thoughtfully, and where local government stays focused on the everyday concerns that affect people’s lives. I am running because I believe I can bring a practical, thoughtful, and accountable approach to that work.
During my career as a writer and filmmaker, my work experience taught me how to listen, research complicated subjects, bring different perspectives together, and turn ideas into finished projects.
I later spent more than a decade working in ethics and compliance, where accountability, careful judgment, and earning people’s trust were essential. Those years reinforced something I have always believed: leadership begins with the example set at the top.
Public service has been a thread throughout my life, beginning as far back as my college years, when I was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity.
I’m running for City Council to put those experiences to work for Santa Clarita: listen carefully, do the homework, make thoughtful decisions, and be accountable for the results.
Reduce congestion, improve dangerous intersections, and make our roads safer and more predictable for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Responsible Growth & Infrastructure
Make sure new development keeps pace with roads, infrastructure, public safety, and the services our growing community depends on.
Health, Safety & Quality of Life
Protect the services that keep Santa Clarita safe while supporting the health and well-being of residents and the resources families need to thrive.
